Public Service Director: Total maintenance of the Public Service Department; developed clientele from non-profit organizations (both local and national), dealing with special community events to on-going promotion; proposed storyboards, scheduled production and crew for taping in-studio and remote locations; worked closely with Operations and Traffic in scheduling of Public Service announcements when necessary; two years leading a station Explorer Post for high school students, teaching them the basics of television operation and assisting them in the production of a series of half-hour programs. In 1980, I was coordinator for a news report covering the MGM Grand Hotel fire, which involved working closely with Independent Network News (now CNN) in hosting a reporter from Los Angeles and hiring a production crew from KVVU, as well as assisting onsite in compiling the report for telecast on INN.
